"Steffi Says" Nr. 2: Butch and Sundance standing on a cliff, looking back: "Who are those guys?"
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is one my favourite movies. The camera work is just gorgeous and Newman and Redford together are so much fun to watch! This movie holds up amazingly - doesn't feel old in any minute.

Sokka vs. the Swordmaster
"Steffi Says" Nr. 1: Sokka fighting the Swordmaster
To help me through (one of) my art-crisis' my lovely and resourceful girlfriend Steffi aka MissMatzenbatzen filled my hat with a bunch of folded post-it's. On every post-it she wrote a topic. Stuff I like, she likes, or we both. So I randomly pick one of the post-it's without knowing what it's gonna be. So I don't have to think what I'm gonna draw or think about how much "worth" it will be in the end - I "just" have to draw it.
This is the first one.
Don't know if it'll be the last one, too. ;) Depends on free time and my moods. ;)
And yeah, I love Avatar(not the one with the blue furries) to pieces!

Bird merchant
Just some random character.
Something's still bugging me, but I've spent too much time on it already and I'm sick of it. So here he is. ;)

costume studies
These are some ink-studies I did from paintings.
Originally I just was researching clothing from the 17.-18. century and started doing some sketches from these paintings, hoping it would help me to remember it, to get a feel for it.
In the end it was mostly about trying out/practicing inking-styles. ;)

Wohoo, personal work, who saw that coming!
One of the few times I had an lineart to work with, cause originally I didn't planned on coloring it. ;)

Incorruptible #10 cover

Another Incorruptible cover. :)
I was lucky to have the help of the lovely MissMatzenbatzen aka Steffi who made the clockwork parts in Illustrator. Painting 'em would've been a pain in the ass and wouldn't have looked half as good.
I realized too late that I used a very similar composition on my Jazam cover a few month ago. Anway, idea and end-result looks different. ;)

Comicsalon Erlangen
Two days ago I came back from the Comicsalon Erlangen, the biggest comic-con in germany. Compared to cons in the US it's really small I guess, but it was so much fun again!
It's every two years and I was there for the fifth time and this time was one of the best. I had a blast!!
The weather was amazing and everyone seemed really relaxed.
It's a small town in Bavaria, so wherever you go you'll meet someone you know. So finding the right party in the evening is easy, you never have to walk more than ten minutes.
...ah...so great...I miss it!

Thats one of the last photos we took, right before we left. We tried to make a little band-like shot and surprisingly it kinda worked. ...? The evening sun made this look kind of retro, so I had to make this little fake "cd-cover". ;) Just beeing already a bit Erlangen nostalgic I guess.
Didn't changed the colors, just slapped half assy some fonts on it.
On the photo are from left to right Simon, Regina, myself and Yann. Steffi was there as well, but she took the photo. :)
